Eric Adams is not a bad person in the way that deBlasio was. But he needs better people to give him advice and a new more forceful police commissioner. But the current crime wave in NYC was caused by the NYS Bail Reform laws and Discovery Reform laws. Both laws are designed to put criminals at an advantage over the NYPD.
Adams is walking on eggshells... because he is deep down a moderate or a New York City type of conservative (a liberal outside of NYC and large cities), but he is trying not to ruffle the leftists and progressives' feathers.
No one cares about Mayor Adams being "shocked" or anyone else's emotional states. At the end of the day, what matters is the public policy and leadership.
Eric Adams currently has a 29% approval rating. How does that happen in one of the bluest cities in America?
Approval ratings mean nothing. Even Biden's approval rating is getting lower each day, but watch. He'll still win re-election.... if he lives so long.
