Mental illness is used to justify the ongoing wave of anti Asian hate crime attacks. Same for the attacks against Jews. The perps when caught always plead mental illness. This includes cases of savage murders, beatings, and rapes.
What needs to be done is hang the perps publicly like NYC used to do in the old days to send a strong message to other criminals. The liberal pansy lawyers who defend them should have their licenses suspended and forced to do 100 hours of community service in a homeless shelter or halfway house before being reinstated. They'll realize right quick how deluded their liberal aspersions were.
So, no I don't have any sympathy for mental illness defenses. And yes, I am biased because I have been a crime victim of such an attack and know many others who are.

Not sure what the OP's point in posting this was, not even partaking in the conversation. Leaving the door wide open for sickos to speak ill of the situation pretending to care about the problem just so they can have a reason to bash the family/situation/bring up welfare per usual.
