Not opposed to pay taxes in exchange for services

Not surprisingly, employers aren't too keen on helping their employees pay the least amount of income tax. What benefit is it to them? I know a lot of companies have different pay rates for different locations. Like at my company, if you move to Florida, you're not going to make NYC salary.
