I had a transit delay on the E train which made me late for work. The train sat for periods at several stations waiting for other trains to get cleared.

I submitted a verification of transit delay to MTA as documentation for work. The delay was more than 10 minutes, which MTA requires to provide documentation. MTA got back to me and said that on the trip I took I did not experience a delay.

But in fact I did experience a delay. Is there anything further I can do to document the delay? Has anyone ever dealt with this?

Thanks for your help!

Not what this delay verification is. Being late to work due to subway delays is not an excuse to be late at my job. We are told to leave home early enough to allow for potential delays.

Thanks for the replies. Not what the delay verification is for? My job asked me to contact MTA delay verification. I had never heard of it before. The delay was 30 minutes from the normal route that I typically take. I build in extra time but think a delay of 30 minutes is significant. So apparently does MTA as they say they will provide documentation for delays beyond 10 minutes.
