Since I had the day off, I decided to take the ferry out to Rockaway today and to my dismay, I noticed there was a lot of construction on the beaches from 108 St down to at least 103rd St. It was actually cold over there due to the wind off the water, so I didn't walk down any further to see where the construction ended. Does anyone know if they are planning to have all beaches opened by June?

All I know is the weather is getting nice so it’s pretty much the time when some poor soul drowns out there.

That part of the Boardwalk is not close to me. Next time I'm around B108 I'll check it out.

Ah ok. Figured you'd probably be the only person who could actually answer the OPs question.

The riptides and the significant drop make it dangerous to go too far out in the water. I go knee deep at best.

Dont take this the wrong way, but I dont pay attention to when the beach opens and closes since I live there. However, Parks Dept says the beach will be open 5/25:

I figured so much. But perhaps you take a walk outside every morning or night.

Most mornings or evenings I do take a walk outside, but I just haven't walked on the Boardwalk lately.
