Thanks everyone, really appreciate it. I've been hearing good things about Williamsburg. My salary isn't set yet as this is still kind of in the works. Studios are good, 1Br great and I might have a roommate if someone moves with me. Hopefully I will know more after an interview!

Why does everyone say "Stay below 96th Street"? What happens at that point on the UES? How is it different from say, 91st street?

Because that's the dividing line between the UES and the start of Spanish Harlem, where crime is more of an issue.
