No hypothetically speaking, further along in the process...
if you were approved for a place etc.
From what I hear you are reviewed year after year income wise.
But from my understanding its different for 80/20 and Mitchell Lama and others (?).
I also read that max you can have such a place is 15 years..true?
If I had to guess..you would have to bring in basically everything from the interview that monitors income..(any assets you may have..W2s..(not sure about the stubs though)
To my knowledge..you can have the apartment as long as you continue to exhibit need. Of course everyones salaries..gradually increase..which is why you rent will as well. But Mochanyc6 who recently got an apt at River Place II stated to us that you'll only no longer qualify if you make 170% of your current income. I've never heard of any rule that disqualifies you after 15yrs..
I finished the interview and passed the income verification. however my interviewer did not look at anything further because the apartments were filled to capacity already... She said there were still 50 more apartments needed to be filled before they would even look at the waiting list. I am on the waiting list now and a few people who came in today were quickly denied for failure to meet income requirements. I am guessing the waiting list is at least 2-3 years MINIMUM for the studio. Anyone else for the 19-22k apt have better news? lol
I think they already have their list of people lined up by now..and if people deny them then others will get called up. Im in the 19-22 but I SHOULD be within that list of 50..but im not holding my breath or anything
i spoke with the lady who did my interview and she said those 5 apartments are no longer avaiable and the waiting list will be compiled after those 50 apts for the higher income is filled. You might be one of those lucky 5, but the wait should be a longgggggg one, I would have to wait for one of those 5 people living in the apartments to move before i could even be considered to move in.
How do they re-evaluate your income every lease signing I wonder?
And what if your a little low but still paid rent on time?
I think, I would expect them to reasonable. The main reason for such evaluations is to make sure people are wealthy living it up for cheap, I expect. If you win the NYLoterry..for instance..you should fess up! LOL

Jose spoke with someone there already and they told them that they're focusing on the higher income right now. Then they'll worry about the low income. Plus I spoke to the supervisor directly and she didnt say anything about me being on a waiting list.
Remember already taken doesnt necessarily mean someone is living there. They go by log #..so it could simply mean that your log # is so high its way past 5 slots. My log # is from May...long before they changed the income criteria..so I doubt many have a lower log # than myself. Again..not holding my breath but I just think your too far back which is why they didnt waste anymore of your time and just put you on the waiting list
what if your income falls in between the two levels. There is 22,200 and 23,760? Do you get disqualified?
yup !!
