Oh, ok then. I am about a hundred list numbers behind you. It doesn't look good at all for round 2 people like us. Just about 3 more years to go before the list expires and they have only reached up to #642.

There haven't been any layoffs yet, only rumors.

I heard through the grape vine that one guy got a DWI and lost his CDL...and another guy got caught tampering with the drug test.

Not every garage in the Bronx sucks. Some are pretty good, I'm told. It all depends where in the Bronx you are. If you hate it, put in a transfer, eventually you will get out as soon as another class is hired

chill out... request a transfer slip the first day you are in your district, pick 3 districts you might like to go to closer to where you live... do a little research before you submit your choices if you don't want to be stuck midnights for a few years.

half of my class (including me ) went to the bronx to start... the alternative? NOT being on the job!!
