Just catching wind of her acquittal. My news program played clips of her statement after the trial, and she was going on about how every citizen deserves fair justice and what not....I believe she's guilty, but her legal team is probably impeccable; Kennedy and all...

Well at least a young woman wasn't in the car with her and it didn't drive off a bridge, so that is something at least.

Considering what that family has gotten up to over the years only *ONE* Kennedy has ever been convicted and sent to prison. Even then the guy was just recently released and is awaiting a new trial.

Driving under the influence of pills or booze is not new to the Kennedy clan. Come to think of it when you look at slices of that family's lives it is a wonder more of them aren't hitting the bottle and or taking pills.

Anyone who thought Ms. Kennedy was going to be convicted much less imprisoned was seriously mistaken. I mean this is a family that beats up upon nurses with impunity for goodness sakes.

This is ridiculous. If any one of us were to do the same exact thing, how many years would we be looking at?

Most likely it if is/was a first offense one wouldn't go to jail.

after 50 years... and he is dead and you still bring it up? time to let go.

the Kennedies getting away with rape or what ever is no less offensive than OJ getting away with murder. Or the others that beat the rap, the family name means nothing.

She was charged with a misdemeanor. I thought she engaged in such overkill. She brought her mother Ethel to court, her brother, Robert, and she raised her whole Kennedy family history as though this was some kind of trial of the century. It was the criminal law equivalent of a civil county count case. I don't disagree with the verdict, but I would have found her guilty just for her shear arrogance.

I find the Kennedy's beyond arrogant. So much that I'd vote in a Republican before any of them!

New York State wasted a lot of money prosecuting this case. I'm no Kennedy fan, but I believe Kerry's story about taking an Ambien sleeping pill by mistake instead of the thyroxine pill. I have a weak thyroid myself and also must take the same medication. The thyroid pill has to be taken first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. Why would she deliberately take a sleeping pill first thing in the morning?
