Lightbulb moving to ulster county:saugerties or woodstock
i am wondering about the schools in saugerties or woodstock. i am looking for progressive schools that are into the arts. does anyone know about the public schools in the area? how about the sudbury school?

I do know that Saugerties School District has difficulties with having too many students for the amount of school building space they have.

In general, this area is an 'artsy' type one - with Woodstock probably being the 'cream of the crop' in art.

I don't know many other specifics regarding the school districts, nor Sudbury School - sorry.

Woodstock Day School is located in Saugerties, close to Woodstock where it originated, and has an ongoing commitment to the arts. The Arts in Education program and electives have brought in visiting instructors in dance, drama, ceramics, African drumming and dance, and much more, along with the regular art and music classes offered to students of all ages.
