Niagara Falls is a rundown **** hole. Everyone knows to go to the Canadian side when visiting.
Yes, the Canadian side is more vibrant in its Clifton Hill area, but has gritty/run down portions of its Downtown. With this said, you still have some things near the falls/River on the U.S. side(Maid of the Mist, state park, Aquarium, observation tower, casino, etc).
