Going in, with Cuomo out, I figured she was the front runner. Hochul now looks like a lock

I do hope the Republicans come up with more than t token candidate to challenge Hochul.

Hochul will likely never let kids faces see the light of day again, so I think even a literal subway token could win an election against her this year. Messing with children is a surefire way to lose mom voters (and dad voters too).

In Westchester, at our parent-teacher conference in a top school district, the teacher said that the district on whole is testing two grades behind in reading so it was an amazing feat that our child is on grade level or one level ahead, depending on the subject. Meanwhile there are entire swathes of the country where kids are living normal lives.

She's probably the most anti-child politician out there besides crazy DeBlasio.

One less commie in the race.
Too bad it won’t make a difference.
NYC and the metro area dictates who will win anyway, and it won’t be a Republican that’s for sure.
If you live anywhere north of Westchester it’s like why even bother voting. Won’t make a bit of difference. Very sad.

Thank God. One radical Governor and I'm out, I'm hanging on by a thread already.

I'd like to see Suozzi get in there. Solid pragmatic common sense Democrat, not a lot of those left.

Apparent she could not raise enough money to convince the Brooklyn Democratic machine that she was viable.

Since it’s so awful, why don’t you leave? There’s a dozen states south of the Mason-Dixon Line where your politics will be the norm. But you aren’t getting New York back.

You say that, but it's happened before. NYS has swung conservative before (relative to what it had been, not relative to REALLY conservative places.) People just need to get pissed off enough at the left wing excesses of the NYC/S Democratic machine.
