No one else mentioned anything political except you. Hence, why it was even brought up.
Also, if anything, buying a new car isn't a good thing from an investment aspect, as it depreciates once off the lot. So, not buying a new car may be doing people with a lower income a favor from that stand point. Get a reasonable used car and call it a day.

I never mention 'politics", you do. If you can't recognize the different viewpoints of the 2 major parties, just say so. EVERYTHING that is happening today is due to someone implementing a law of some sort. Then the market has to adjust.
After "cash for clunkers" (destroyed perfectly good used cars), the used car market is through the roof.
The Free Marketplace continues to be the best way forward!!
