I'm planning to move internally within my company to a location "nearer" a major metro area (New York City). Fishkill is not as close as I would like to be to Manhattan as I want to be, but it certainly is closer than Burlington, VT. My company does offer flexible work arrangements, and I could possibly only show up on-site 3 or 4 days a week, so I won't have the extra long commute every day.
Has anyone else done this crazy other-way commute? Don't convince me to live in Dutchess or northern Westchester. I want to see if there are those who live in Manhattan and work in Dutchess county, and what your experiences are.
