What did your family and friends offline say when you told them about this lady and about your experiences? Have you talked to them about the possibility of counseling just so that you can get extra one to one feedback and insights into what you feel is going on in the world?
She lectured me about how most black men don't court black girls and expressed how much she pitied me. I'm not going to approach her and ask her why. That's silly and confrontational. I see this woman on a regular basis, she's a co-worker.
Something sounds suspiciously familiar here.
...like I said, this is nothing worth losing sleep over. Focus on living the best life you can. Don't know what else to tell you. Mod cut: Inappropriate language. Pay them no mind. They are not worth it.

My family doesn't give me any helpful feedback on things like this.
I wish I could get more helpful replies. I"m truly lost right now
What did your family and friends say when you told them about your experiences? And would you be willing to talk to a counselor to try and get additional help in decision making and coping?

My family is useless, and I don't have any close friends to discuss this with. As for counseling, I don't know where to go. It's not cheap
Is there a reason as to why they usually don't do this? Have you ever inquired?
Yes, I've tried to discuss things like this with my family but they aren't helpful at all. My mother's response is always the same to everything "don't worry about it. It's nothing". She's not very deep

Might I ask, in what ways are they useless? If you asked them for additional help just to go talk to a counselor about learning to cope with what you feel perhaps they'd help? It would be good to talk to people about it in person you know?

My mother gets irritated whenever I seek advice, and she just repeats the same thing over and over again.."don't worry about it. It's nothing. Don't let it get to you." I need someone that can offer me more emotional support and better advice. I don't have close friends to talk about this with and I don't trust anyone either. sometimes people try to take advantage of you if they know you're insecure.
