Friend Insults My Knowledge

Why on earth would you put up with this silliness? ESPECIALLY from a good friend.

With a good friend, you can hold up a hand, look them straight in the eye and say, "Why would you say something so rude? Are you TRYING to hurt my feelings, or is that just a nice bonus?" and have a conversation on why they feel the need to keep belittling you.

If you friend is so self-absorbed that they honestly don't have a clue how their rude comments are being received, then they need a metaphorical slap upside the head.

And if they continue to argue that you are a clueless idiot -- that's your cue that perhaps this friendship has reached its expiration date. Friends build each other up -- they don't tear each other down.

And if they were in med school, you can believe they would have said "med school" -- as it is, anything from a P.A. to a medical billing specialist. . .
