Planning a fall vacation in western North Carolina and wondering where the must see places for fall foliage viewing are? Also looking for neat little towns to stop in.
Google "Blue Ridge Parkway" official site that gives you everything you need to know about the different areas and little towns to stop in. I love Grandfather Mountain. There are hiking trails plus the Swinging Bridge. Linville Falls is nearby. The Viaduct is also in the area. It is a breathtaking area. Have to eat breakfast at Famous Louise's Rock House restaurant while in that part of the area. There are so many places that are beautiful, it is hard to pick just a few. If you like waterfalls, you can get a map for this as well.
