Another preacher in NC advocating violence to LGBT, as another poster stated in one of the A1 threads it is time to tax churches who preach politics & hate from the pulpit.
It is apparent in A1 threads of last couple weeks by cherry picking the bible was the only reason to vote for an Amendment that a law already covers in this state and decide to use there bigotry in voting down any other rights of LGBT community by also barring civil unions and domestic partnerships that occur in this state.
The latest is a preacher wanting to send all gays to build a Holocaust like camp. Pastor Worley stated this,
Quote:
Build a great big, large fence — 50 or a 100 miles long — and put all the lesbians in there. Fly over and drop some food. Do the same thing with the queers and the homosexuals — and have that fence electrified so they can’t get out. Feed ‘em. And you know in a few years, they’ll die out. You know why? They can’t reproduce.
Gay community was never fighting to have segregated marriage passed in this state as we knew it was already law. Instead republicans decide to create animosity and decisiveness in this state instead of creating jobs.
No matter, if your atheist, muslim, gay, lesbian or any other minority in this state you should be awarded the freedom that the constitution of the USA gives us in the 14th amendment.
We are here we are not going anywhere.
God is about love, tolerance and acceptance. It is not up to "people of god" to make judgement on "god's behalf" if there is a judgement day, then he will sort it out when the time comes. In the meanwhile, try to harp on other things that are based in the bible, like helping those that are in need, feeding those without food, clothing those without clothes and love those that are without love.

churches and other religious institutes should not be tax exempt. These scam artists flaunt their riches, and preach hatred and intolerance, and we just sit here and take it.
Being that I'm a transplant like most intelligent people in this state, I'm still pretty much in shock that people actually think like this...smdh.
I mean, I knew rednecks were crazy, but.... damn!
They wanna get rid of gay people?! Easy, sterilize all straight people and end reproduction entirely.

Not every church is like this moron. Heck watch the video he wasn't getting a lot of amens. I think they know he is an old man off his rocker. Also its an independent church, so there is very little oversight.

You are correct, we are not to judge. As gods children we are to obey. If we obey, then we believe. If we believe, we do as we are told in the teachings! In this case, please don't judge us for being devout believers!
I'd be willing to bet, most of anyone you talk to would think this guy is an IDIOT! This is a very, very isolated few WACKO's!

Your belief is your right, but it certainly is in itself a judgment. And it is certainly a judgment to turn your religious beliefs into a discriminatory policy.
I'm glad that you agree that this guy is a tool, but if you voted for this amendment, you cast your lot in with him.

As an atheist, I won't get into a debate here about gods existence or not, but what is blatantly clear is that god aside, religion, and specifically organized fundamentalists religions are all about hate and provide the petri dish rich in the nutrients of ignorance where the hate festers like a flesh eating bacteria.

The fact that he was getting 'amen-ed' during his rant is really disturbing, for he should have been blinded by butts as the congregation got up and left. Nope, it's more than a 'few' wacko's.
Quote:
Members of the congregation can be heard saying “Amen” to parts of the sermon.
