I do not agree at all. The only way I consider NC drivers aggressive is right on red turns. Besides that, I hardly ever see someone speeding or cutting people off and they always seems to let other drivers merge into their lane

yeah I thnk the OPs observations have a lot to do with the roads/area he's traveled, whihc as I've previously stated, are places typically filled with people from NJ and other areas.
well my mistake for creating this thread, jeez lol didn;t know it was a city-data forum sensitive topic. sorry if i hit a nerve.
Wait you create a thread to bash NC drivers in hopes to bash natives and put NJ drivers are holier than thou.
Then its pointed out due to recent huge migration from NJ and NY, it was pointed out the bad drivers are probably the people from your own state and now your wanting to bail.

pretty much. I learned something by posting and reading in this thread, and have nothing more to say because I'm accepting defeat because y'all are right....but all I get is facepalms and condescending remarks. I feel really welcome here.
I'm a NJ native and I don't find drivers being overly aggressive in NC. My only observation is that there are more left lane hogs in NC. People seem oblivious to the fact that the left lane is for passing. Other than that, driving here is a pleasure compared to NJ.

I went back through the threads and counted one > . Suffice it safe to say between the above post and your OP your perceptions may be slightly exaggerated.

Not in N.C. yet but will be relocating in a couple of years to the Lk. Norman area. I've visited there with my wife probably 10 times over the last 5 years. We love the climate, and more than that, the people we have met. Lower property taxes as compared to NJ of course. The Lake, boating, fishing. Great resturants. Medical facilities since we will both be retired.
I probably left a lot out, but we cant wait..

You're right on target with this post. If slow drivers in the left lane is the biggest gripe we have, then life is pretty good!
