Default State Inspection - Have to Use County Registered In?
I am registered in Guilford county, but work in Alamance. I was hoping that I can get my car inspected during my lunch in Alamance instead of driving back to Guilford. I know both have emissions requirements, so is this ok? Thanks.

You can have your vehicle inspected at any N.C. Inspection Station.

Let me clarify my previous answer. You can have your vehicle inspected at any NC Inspection Station, but if your home county requires emission testing, then you'll have to have it inspected in any county that also is equipped for emission testing. Only about half of NC's 100 counties have emission testing.
