Went to sleep with the windows open listening to crickets chirp into the night. Woke up with the birds singing and the bright sunshine beaming in. Went to my son's baseball practice this afternoon, chasing foul balls into the lush green grass and watching the flowers from the trees falling to the ground. Wearing shorts, a t-shirt and chewing bubblegum sitting on wood bleachers I actually got a touch of sun on my face and arms. THIS is why I love my home state and always will....
Anyone else have any ahh moments this weekend?

The whole past week has been like this to me!

I did a whole bunch of yardwork but also took the time to enjoy. My wife and I are now at the gape-jawed point in the spring -- this being our first spring here since we moved from New England we can't believe the leaves coming out, crickets chirping, robins in full song, 80 degrees and it isn't even April yet!

The weather -- even the "normal" weather for this time of year (60s) is just so different -- and better! -- than up North that it boggles the mind.

We went to Chapel Hill last night to have supper and drove home via the back roads, in the convertible, with the top down!

Unbelievable.

We were packing for our upcoming move this weekend, but, when I did poke my head out, the weather was glorious.
The boys & some friends walked to the pond to fish (catch & release)- they fished for 4 hours!
They came home with sunburned necks(I know, my fault, I just was so distracted with packing. We told them they are now rednecks- they thought that was funny!
It was wierd for them to have a Tom Sawyer-ish summer day... in March!
