I had one of the best meals I have had in a very long time
from here. Circa 1800 in Fayetteville, NC. It was so good! An
added bonus is that it is only two blocks from the CSX main line.
I spend 6 or 8 months in Fayetteville back in the late 60s and again early 70s. On my way to Vietnam, then on my way back. Never saw a redeeming quality in the city, but then again the circumstances may have influenced the feelings. lol
I can understand how you feel, makes perfect sense. They have really cleaned
the town up. I have pulled many an all nighter beside the tracks photographing
trains with never a problem. Thank you!

The Raleigh and Fayetteville Railroad crosses over the
Upper Little River on it's trip to Fayetteville, NC. I didn't
think I would ever get them in action!
Very nice, pretty and peaceful, but I fully expected a trestle or at least tracks. I guess if it leads you to that pot of gold coins it will all be worth it.
That's exactly what I wanted but it got shot down and fast! However we did get 15 acres
that includes a two acre pond so it's not that bad. I am between Sanford (CSX) and Lillington
(RJ Corman) so all is not lost! Here is one more shot of the same rainbow taken from
the front of the house.
