How come hardly anyone has vanity plates here?
Just an observation so far. Weird.

Its something like $40 annually to have one here, versus $10 in West Virginia for example, where everyone has one. Its just too much money imo.

I do remember that I used to see a lot more of them than I do now. I believe they really did jack up the fees for them--and easy thing to do since it's a voluntary fee.

It's $30/year here - vs. $10 in Virginia. I had personalized plates there, but didn't bother after I moved to NC. Didn't seem worth it.

I have one.......and they are expensive!!! Mine is more sentimental, got it after my dad died in 1994, and well, I cannot change it.
i don't see them too often here, but I enjoy them when I do! You wouldn't believe how many people pull up beside me and ask me about my plate.
