The story about employee's being flown in to work at Menard's is interesting, but definately not a first or unusual for the Bakken. Williston has daily charter flights that bring workers in and out to work at many of the oil service companies. For the same reason, not enough workers to fill the jobs. Williston Wal-mart also has a shuttle bus that shuttles workers from the smaller communities in eastern MT over to Williston. So Interesting? Yes. Unusual, Not really.

The main reason is they don't pay enough for you to live on. They are looking for college students that would be willing to work for minimal pay, minimal benefits, but lots of hours.
