going to be moving to Minot in the next few months and i was wondering about the availibility of rental houses in the area. i have heard everything was taken up due to the oil. just wanted to see if anyone new of anything open or where to look

Hmmm.... seems to be more than one person moving from FL to ND lately. There was a blog awhile back that had something about moving from FL to Minot in the title..check it out.

Probably not so much the oil , more because of the Air Force base. It has a new mission, and about 1,000 new personal will be moving in over the next year or so. They just built some really nice new retail/apartments mix west of the mall. I'm sure someon from Minot will post on here and can direct you to sites, realtors, and property management companies.

Have you tried www.apt.minot.com? Between the military and college, a lot of rentals are gone and the prices have really increased. Also, base housing is being shorted, forcing some of the military to Minot.
