I am looking for the most competitive youth soccer league in the area. My daughter is 9 and plays on a showcase travel team here in NY so I would like the best competition. Can anyone give me advice?

I notice people are reading my post but no replies. Can someone at least send me in the right direction? Should I contact some of the leagues directly? Here on LI, people know who the more "competitive" leagues are. Some are much more "recreational" than others - meaning some don't even have practices, they just have games on Sunday.

I read your original post and was unable to answer your request, which is the reason I didn't offer a suggestion. Probably the others who read it were unable to reply as well. Most of the folks here are only too happy to offer direction when they are knowledgeable. Good luck in your search.

Go to Weston Field any Sunday and ask around.. Theres a huge Latino populatiion playing there all day.

My kids played in the local leagues, If you want top competition, look into Weston on Sundays.. Their leagues compared to the local "youth" Leagues is like comparing checkers to chess... Im not sure how they bracket by ages, but its worth looking into..

No, they play @ Weston Field on Providence Road in North Scranton, On any given Sunday there are appx. 200 players and spectators there, They are uniformed , so there is some organization , but at this time I dont know what they go by, I will try to find out next week..
