I was re-reading some old posts and was wondering, does anyone know whatever happened to the forum member Riverside4ever ?

I know what happened. He died from complications from cancer because of 9/11 which he claims he worked as a police officer although he retired in 1991. My memory might be shot but I could've swore 9/11 happened in 2001 in which he was retired for 10 years already. He probably killed the Riverside4ever name out of embarrassment n is being an A-hole under another name.... Just my opinion...

It's quite possible he was called back into active service at that time.

You start out by saying you know then end by saying it's your opinion.

Hate aside, does anyone know what happened to him?

Riverside4ever got angry at someone's post. He blew up, went on a lengthy diatribe and then dropped out of sight.

His past, real or manufactured, was of no interest to me. In the anonymity of the internet, many people are not what they say they are. I enjoyed his posts and I don't think he's been back under any other name.

Same for varmintblaster. I know that some posters think he's back under a new name, but his style was pretty distinctive and I don't see it in any of our current on-line buddies.

I believe he died of TBT or, perhaps, that was Varmintblaster?

Riverside4ever just stopped posting and it looks like his last post was June of 2013. Varmintblaster went off the deep end and a senior mod pulled the plug on his account. At the end, he had more posts deleted and infracted than what people saw on the forum.

I agree with theatergypsy that someone's real life persona and how they portray themselves on-line can be two different people. I've met people IRL that I had only known on-line, and while they weren't wildly different, it changed my perception of them.

As Sarge said, I saw many holes in Riverside4evers story as how
he 'took a bullet' on the job while a NY Cop...no pun intended...but it just didnt happen.

I never heard the 9/11 saga...thst's a new one to me...

I agree with Theatergypsy...Varmintblaster is not back posting here...his style and local knowledge would be distinctly noticed in his posts by long time visitors of this site.

Thanks TBT! I knew one died of hoof-n-mouth. If I recall correctly Riverside said he was going to take a trip up north or out back and we never heard from him again.

I had just assumed Riverside4ever got banned. And I thought the "Riverside" in his name referred to the borough in Northumberland County, PA because he seemed to hate NYers and NJers so much. Never knew he said he was a NYC cop, but then I didn't read most of his stuff because, well, I thought he came across as the kind of poster who would get banned.

I believe he said he was from Honesdale via NYC.
