I think the HS now has about 800-900 students total now that it only serves West Side. Yes, there is an intermediate school around 16th st, and its surrounded by a development of newer houses. West Side really remains a nice place to live that hasn't changed much over the years (a good thing in my opinion), it still has a small-town feel while living near city conveniences. There are some bad parts, but mainly to the east side of Main Ave, around the lower part of Luzerne St.
