Agreed...I get my BH fix from the Giant in Lehighton or Wind Gap depending on where I feel like heading that day....never liked Thuman's or Deitz & Watson brands....also the seeded Kaiser rolls at Giant are much smaller than the ones at Shoprite so I get them at Shoprite....

But I don't normally use Rt. 196. I have about four different ways to get to Mt. Pocono and 99% of the time Rt. 611 works fine.

I think more would make it through that light on 196 if they were not all talking on their cell phones! But that intersection is still not as bad as trying to get down Rt. 611 from Home Depot to Stroudsburg on a busy weekend. I have spent an hour just going that last mile.

Basically, the only reason I still go to Giant in Lehighton is for BH, and their reduced produce rack (If I get there early enough), 99% of it has several days of life left and I always make a vegetable with dinner. Cheap like that :P

I think Giant's bread is ehh but I'm spoiled because I still bring home bread from the Bronx.

Their seeded Kaiser rolls are just about the same as I remember buying in the 70's in Brooklyn and the ShopRite in Brodheadsville also sells Calandra's Italian bread from Jersey which also is the best....I don't always buy it because being alone I can't eat it all in one day....by next day already hard....but so damn good!!

I still live in K Section in PCP I still have never had a problem. Kids all grew up and left. Neighborhood as far as residents has gotten much better. Place has gotten many new people 90% Polish and Savic people. The only thing that continues to get worse is the people in charge of the community. They just spent 2 million dollars on K section pool. I been asking for an indoor pool. I think it could've been done for 2 million smh. I notice the residents are getting older in age. Very few young people in the area. Lots of air bnbs, I manage about 10 of them so you take the good with the bad. Monday-Thursday its a ghost town Friday to Monday morning more people. In the Poconos the weekends were always like that. You can listen to people that don't live here and they know everything but don't even have a gate pass or you can listen to residents that live here.
Would I recommend buying here, no. Why? Its run like the Biden administration, the most incompetent people at every position. 7 years ago you could steal a house here and deal with the incompetent people running this place but now the money you would spend here you can go somewhere else and not have to aggravate yourself. Once again excellent neighbors here. Are there drugs, yup. Occasional domestic violence, yup. Just like EVERYWHERE else. Very rarely do I see police in K section. I can honestly say its been awhile since I saw Regional in my area. But buy somewhere with less politics.
