Is it still just as bad as it always was? I remember years ago, it wasn't desirable. Has it changed for the better, at all?
Would love to hear from residents as well.

There was a shooting on MLK Day in 2021. I haven't heard of any other shootings since then.

BTW how are things in Asheville? I hear the town has gone downhill. Not sure if PCP would be an upgrade or not.

Great! Crime has gotten bad everywhere. That being said, I feel pretty safe here. Its nothing like crime in a bigger city. Be aware of your surroundings, no matter where you are Btw, It's not for me but a relative. You couldn't pay me a million bucks to move back to NEPA. Thanks for your feedback!

The Mt. Pocono area, in particular, has gotten so its like living in NYC all over again with the ghetto transplants that live up there now....many hit & runs, an armed bank robbery in Swiftwater yesterday, plus big city attitudes to go along with it....so glad I never bought a house up there in that area....I'm sure the city transplants feel right at home amongst the garbage they thought they left behind when they moved out of the city.....

I have lived in this area a lot longer than you have and I have seen many changes. But I have never felt unsafe shopping in Mt. Pocono. I have never had any problems and choose to shop in Mt. Pocono rather than running to Stroudsburg or Brodheadsville. Even though Mt. Pocono is expanding in leaps and bounds, I cannot remember the last time I was in a traffic jam. Perhaps there will be traffic jams after all the new construction is finished, but that is simply speculation. I do know that I have sat in many traffic jams in the Stroudsburg/E. Stroudsburg and Brodheadsville area. Perhaps you don't do enough shopping in our are to know if we have problems?

As far as Pocono Country Place (Section K), I do not know. I work with many people that live up there and have never had any problems with them, but I have no reason to really visit. So I cannot give accurate information on the development.

Nice link, but all I can tell anybody is that I have never had any problems. I also do not have traffic problems when shopping in the Pocono Summit or Mt. Pocono area. Plus I like that my Shoprite carries Boar's Head and yours does not and I think my Shoprite makes a better Boston cream donut than yours does! Of course, if you consider all the calories in those Boston cream donuts, maybe I do live in a dangerous area!

There are always traffic jams at the 5 corners intersection coming from Rt. 196, especially making the left had turn. Only about 4 cars can make it through that green light
