I read in the paper that they were building a Sonic Drive In in Wilkes Barre! I hope it is true. I've seen comercials on TV for Sonic for years, but it was always a "southern" restaurant. Now the're coming to NEPA??

I dont live anywhere near NEPA(Indiana) but I will tell you that Sonic is an excellent place to eat at!! We have one right off the expressway a few miles away from me. They have pretty reasonable prices, very friendly staff, and quality food

They also opened one in Wilson off of Rt. 33 on the southbound side. Haven't tried it yet but a friend did and she said it was nothing to write home about.

My first Sonic was right here down south in Myrtle beach.......
Its just nice on a spring day to park outside and enjoy the fresh air.
The best was a "rootbeer" float, and the french toast strips.......
The rest is sort of the usual fast food fare.......
The most fun in it is being outside. The girls bring the food on roller skates. There was a simular take on this up past Newton, NJ........I wonder if that is still there. Although you could eat inside too....
Very 50's that was, inside.

That place is on Rt.94 just outside of Newton heading towards NY. I don't remember the name but I passed by it many times. I think it's just before or maybe where Rt.206 intersects with Rt.94.

You drove to Delaware just to get Sonic? Or you were just passing through?

I think we had just as many Sonic Drive-In's in Kansas as we did McD's. The food is just okay, but I really like their cherry limeades. My kids liked eating there, but once the novelty of eating at a drive-in wears off, Sonic is no big deal.
