I wouldn't feel safe living in either place. I don't like urban living and these communities are pretty much like living in a city, but with more trees. That being said, I also have to wonder how many times you have actually visited PCP or any of the other communities in the Poconos. I'm certainly not a fan of them, but since I don't live or visit there, I try not to make demeaning remarks about them. Just curious as to whether you have actual experience living there or if you are just making remarks based on the comments of others.

I lived there and I can vouch that it is a dump full of ghetto people and that crime is rampant. Not all of the crime and harassment is reported. If you want more info, check all my older posts or even DM me and I can fill you in. Trust me, no one is just making these statements for the he** of it. Obviously, they know.
