In a couple of days, I'll be going to look at a place for rent in the Pinecrest townhouse community near the Braddock Rd / Little River Turnpike intersection. Is this a safe area? Is this the Lincolnia area that has car break-ins and other petty theft issues?

I'd greatly appreciate your input.

Thanks!

I really would not be too concerned about safety at Pinecrest. It's a nice-looking development right across Route 236 from the back entrance to TJHSST, the science/math magnet school. The Lincolnia/Landmark area is further to the east.

Are you looking at a specific townhouse that is being offered for rent? Because--just so you know--the townhouses and condos and single-family homes (there are few there) are all either owner-occupied or owner-rented. There's no rental office. (Yes, I am very familiar with it!).

It is a safe neighborhood. Some petty car break-ins, but only because dumb car owners forget to take their GPS devices or cells or briefcases into the house at night.
