I already had an idea for installing heating elements in a driveway with solar cells connected along the sides, this idea is shear genius. Granted at 4.4 million a mile, people would definitely balk at the price at first.

Sounds good except in some areas. There would be low spots or significant dips in roads that are trapped on either side with large amounts of snow trapping the water, like a giant mud puddle.
