I am looking at places sight unseen and hoping for any info on Merrill House in falls church.

Or how about Roosevelt Towers?

I am looking at falls church in order to commute to Tysons but also be central to orange line. My wife will ne to be able to get around in the area and DC without a car.

Thanks

My usual recommendation is Halstead at Metro or Wilton House right across street from Dunn Loring Metro.

Westbriar condos are across street, and Dunn Loring Metro apts, too.

Just search Craigslist to see what is available now.

Prices are creeping up I think in anticipation of new graduates with new jobs in area this summer, but 1900 - 2000 seems what most 2 bedrooms at Halstead go for, and one bedrooms around 1400.

Zip Car I believe keeps a Honda Civic in Dunn Loring Metro parking lot, too.

ZipCar is a members' car-sharing service, and they do have a car at the Dunn Loring Metro. It's the perfect thing in many circumstances...check it out.

There are a number of choices for apartments or condos either adjacent to or within easy walking distance of the Dunn Loring Metro. The train puts you 28 minutes from Metro Center.

As for Merrill House, probably driven by it a hundred times -- just never paid much attention. The location is certainly good.

Thanks. Those look like great places to look at longer term, but coming up short on availability. Also need a place which will take a 10 pound Maltizu and not having much luck there (I know, what terrible damage this dog could do!). I am thinking I will have to take a short term lease at roosevelt towers for a few months then find a place for the wife and dog to join me. Not psyched about the looks of Roosevelt, but not finding much else.
