It's cool...and I really like Leesburg, but I wonder if it is ever possible for Ashburn or Reston to get on the list when they are not technically cities. I don't ever see any lists for best HOA's.

Not sure if Leesburg will appeal to more people or not due to this list...I had never heard of it until I read CNN.com today.

You live in Brambleton and you never heard of Leesburg until today?

Yay! We just bought our first house in Leesburg. It was fun to see this on CNN.com today. It's a nice town.. I've lived in Ashburn for almost five years and couldn't wait to get out of here. Love, love, love Leesburg.

Congratulations, EuroExpat! I hope you enjoy your new home. I agree that Leesburg is a nice place, but I'm a sucker for places with real town centers.

No, I had never heard of the ratings list until today. I love Leesburg and go there quite frequently!

Thanks! I've lived all my life (except these four years) within a walking distance of a real town center so I'm quite happy to go back to living like that.

Also this week, Loudoun County made #2 on the list of Where The Jobs Are

Where the jobs are - Loudoun County, VA (2) - Money Magazine

and Great Falls took the #1 slot for Top Earning Towns

Top-earning towns - Great Falls, VA (1) - Money Magazine

I guess someone at CNN really likes us right now. I don't take these lists seriously, but a pat on the back always feels good whether I believe it or not.

Tysons Corner is also on the list (closer to #20 I think) of wealthiest towns. Which brings me to a question -- Is Tysons Corner a town?

Didn't think so...which is why I guess I never paid attention to the lists before. Not sure which one is important to follow. Most seem to be pulled out of a hat.
