i agree. i moved from Hampton to NoVA in 04. aside from the HS i went to (TC Williams in Alexandria) there wasnt a thing i liked about Nova more than HR. $350k wont buy you much in NoVA. you could have the pick of the litter in York County with that money. VA schools are really good whether you are in Hampton Roads or NoVA.

Well, considering they went 3-1 for Kerry in 2004, and nearly 4-1 for Webb in 2006, they're liberal enough. Of course, you don't have to go too far out of town before the tables start turning...

Townhouse in Burke or Maybe a house in West Springfield. I saw a great colonial townhouse the other day in Burke for 389K. I think you could get one for 350K. If you try real hard you could probably get a split foyer in 22152 for 399K. Winchester is a different world of illegals, inbreds, and commuter hell.
Ironically, the most northern part of NoVa, isn't really a part of NoVA. Look at the test scores. Listen to the way people talk (the English speakers). Plain and simple better genetics in Fairfax County.

Then it must have changed a lot. I guess they have a lot of transplants.

Even in Richmond they largely supported Bush, and I always thought Richmond was more liberal than Charlottesville.
