I plan to travel from DC (Federal Triangle) to Reston Town Center tommorow. I would typically take 66 and then the toll road but I'll be traveling at rush hour/HOV2. Does anybody have any suggestions what the best alternative path would be? Thanks in advance for your help!

Take a plane from National Airport to BWI, then back to IAD.

Brilliant. Never would have thought of that one.

1. You can take George Washington Parkway (the HOV is enforced after the Rosslyn/GW Parkway exit on 66) to 495 S to Dulles Toll Road. This is what I would do

2. You can take GW Parkway to 123 to Rt. 7 Really hit or miss

3.You can also take 50W to Rt. 7 Avoids a toll, but is the extra 20 minutes (or worse depending on Tysons traffic) worth it?

I can't give time estimates because I lived in that area 1 and half years ago but I hear Tysons, your biggest obstacle, is worse for traffic now
