My son will be starting kindergarten in the fall. We are zoned for Forestdale Elementary. We've looked into their test scores and the schools website but would value someone's personal experiences instead. Since we moved to Springfield not to long ago from the west coast, we don't know many people to ask about the school. Therefore, I would love any thoughts, experiences and opinions regarding this school (i.e. teachers, students, administration, etc). Thanks

You are in good hands as far as FFX county schools, I am a product of keene mill, many of my friends went to orange hunt, forest glen, at the end of the day FFX county schools are safe, clean, promote higher level gifted and talented courses, and provide a good preparation for higher levels when they grow up. Before you know it your kid will be applying to Vatech, UVA, William And Mary, or numerous other great colleges also in the state.
Virginia supports education (just look at our annual budget, it makes up 52% of FFX counties operating cost).
