I'm travelling to WV (Summit Point) tomorrow with a colleague and we'll leave NOVA on the tollway and travel to Leesburg where we'll get back on 7. Without getting off the beaten path too far is there a GOOD place for breakfast in this area? I'd prefer to avoid Shoney's or IHOP if possible but may have no choice.

If I'm reading correctly this is off Rt 7 well before Leesburg? We'll be on 267 so I don't want to backtrack. Prefer something in Leesburg or even beyond heading west is fine.

The leesburg restaurant in old town. It's right off route 7 aka east market street. It's been there for like 200 years

Just because it's been there for 200 years, doesn't make it good.

South Street Under on Harrison St next to Tuskies is pretty good, as well as Shoes Cup and Cork Club on King Street. You won't find your typical pancake breakfast there though, they are more like coffee shops that make their own warm sandwiches. I've never eaten anything that wasn't good at either place.

If you drove to Falls Church you can try Bentley's Restaurant - Home , they have excellent pancakes, better than IHOP and most restaurants in my opinion. They have a variety of breakfast items (grits, eggs, hash brown potatoes). Great breakfast, goto the website and look at the menu. The address is 6654 Arlington Boulevard, Falls Church, VA if your willing to drive there.

Assuming you're going to take Route 7 to Route 340 north, there is a family-type place called "Johns" right after the WV line on the left side of the road. It's in Rippon, WV, north of Berryville.

There's a Panera and a Bob Evans at the outlets...a little out of your way but not much.
