This has been such a great yer not sending our child to Trinity. Some of the aggravations that I no longer have to endure include:

Trinity would lock the door on parents who were just a few minutes late dropping their children off. They would not have the side doors locked, and lone men would wander in and out while preschool was in session. What made it scary was that children would be sent to the restrooms by themselves while the lone men were in the building.

The way it worked is that Trinity would hold English as a Second Language classes during the same time that preschool took place. A door was left unlocked to the outside, which was supposed to be monitored. However, the person monitoring would then have to walk the man back to the classroom. This left the door unattended. It also left the men in the class unattended then the monitor was at the door. I walked into side doors that were unlocked so many times that I had to ask to be told that, yes, the were kept "locked."

If you were late, which can be a problem if you have more than one child to drop off, you would be charged a $1 a minute. Your child gets kept at the office while waiting. I don't know what they do in there, buy my child would be in tears every time.

Last year, Trinity made the decision not to accommodate children with allergies. Unfortunately for them, they had trouble filling enrollment. As a result, they will again keep medicine for children. They love to tell you time and again that it is not an allergen-free environment. It was obvious that they didn't want to deal with them, which their policy change last year proved.

I hated dealing with the principal so much that I developed a saying. I don't want to use her real name, so let's say that it's Lillian. I would say "Have a Lillian-free day" to my spouse as I would leave many mornings. A Lillian-free year this time was splendid.

I meant to say that it has been a great "year."
