I'm going to be at school again this year at George Mason and I'm looking for anyone or anywhere that Englishman go to watch soccer games, preferably West Ham supporters during the season. Anywhere in the surrounding areas of D.C. that football lovers go to watch games.

Thanks ahead of time.

Summers Restaurant in Arlington near Courthouse metro. Plus NBC Sports will have every Premier League game this season.

I don't really get Summers' reputation as the premier bar to watch soccer. That may have been true years ago when the sport was way less popular in the US, but the past few times I've gone to watch some EPL matches there it's been kind of dead and the place looks like it hasn't been updated since the 80s.

I'd rather go across the street to Four Courts if I'm going to watch a game. In DC you've also got Fado and Lucky Bar as options. As far as a specific supporters club for West Ham, I wouldn't know. It still seems like most Americans that follow the EPL support the big clubs like Liverpool, Chelsea, and Man U.

I'm a West Ham guy as well, but like the others have said, there's no real D.C. group that I'm aware of. Summers in Arlington shows a lot of Premier League games but I don't believe it's an official spot for any particular club.

It sounds like Four Courts and Summers are the place to go for football. Thanks for the info guys.

Hopefully a few Hammers fans will be there cheering with me!

West Ham might be tougher to find.

Could the UK embassy (the European embassies all do a fair bit of cultural stuff) or the West Ham supporters' groups be of any use? (Sorry if you already tried those).

Man U, Chelsea, Liverpool, etc., probably all have more organized DC area fan clubs than the mid-sized clubs like West Ham.

Summers would be a good place to start.

OTOH, a wee bit of Googling discovered The Auld Shebeen in Old Town Fairfax, which prominently mentions "look at all the soccer you can watch here" on their webpage.

DO NOT GO TO SUMMERS... it is a crap hole.

Go across the street to Four Courts, much better food and TVs.
