Well after doing a lil' research we are looking at houses in the Woodbridge area. We are bidding on one in Lakeridge (ES:Antietam) and on another one in Old Bridges Estates (ES: Springwood)...

Which area is best in terms of safety, family, etc? I've read a lot that Lakeridge is a good area. Is Old Bridges part of Lakeridge? Any info or additional details will be highly appreciated...

THANKS

I think the Old Bridge/Lake ridge area of Woodbridge is great - you can't go wrong. I lived in a community off Springwoods for many years. If the two homes are otherwise equal, I'd probably go for Springwoods vs Antietem, but there is really not much of a difference. I really like the parks trails that are within walking distance to the Occoquan River from Springwoods.

Good luck!

I second that...Old Bridge Estates is technically not part of Lake Ridge, but everyone calls it Lake Ridge anyway since it's 22192. You'll be fine in either school district - take the better deal, regardless of which one it is.

Welcome to Prince William County!

Old Bridge Estates is very nice, it's right across the street from Westridge (which is also nice). I grew up in that area and my friends still live there. Both elementary schools are nice as well.

I agree. Also, Old Bridge Estates (and Westridge) contract out the county Police on weekends and holidays who patrol the neighborhoods from the afternoon to the early hours of the day. It's like having your own personal cop, very good response time if something happens and a good deterrent.

Well I bid for both but lost the Lakeridge one. :-( I really liked it - It overlooked the lake... Im still waiting for a response in the Old Bridges Estates. Now Im looking at another one in the Lakeridge area ***** (ES: Lakeridge)... Is there a lot of difference between these elementaries (lakeridge/springwoods/antietam) ? Thanks!
