Hi - I really need recommendations for an allergist in Gainesville and/or surrounding area. My child broke out in a rash (which was not illness related) and two different drs suggested a possible food allergy. I would like to have my child tested and am seeking any info. New to all of this so thanks in advance!

I can't give you one specifically in Gainesville, but the Pediatric Lung Center in Fairfax (and Leesburg) has an allergist on staff that I used for awhile. Dr. Ann Miranowski. I liked her and I love the whole practice. My son goes there for his asthma. He does have food allergies but you don't need routine treatment for those. He ended up getting allergy shots for his environmental allergies so going to Fairfax once a week was a no go for us and we used an allergist in Woodbridge.

Neither of the two doctors you saw could do the testing or had recomendations for allergists? I would think you would want the advice of someone you trust rather than Internet strangers.
