Ok, I was born and raised in Prince William County, and I like to think I know I a little about or wondrous state's geography (my granddad taught me.) Any who, I am not sure about where in Stafford is rural, what part of the county is rural? Is it staying that way because I don't think my family and I would want to move again in a couple of years because it's becoming like PWC or Fairfax. If there isn't anywhere in Stafford, is there anywhere else about 40 miles outside of Fairfax? Because my mom cannot leave her job in Fairfax, unfortunately.

I doubt that Stafford will stay rural. This area, in general will continue to expand and fill in between Woodbridge and Fredericksburg.

I think if you want rural, you need to face the fact that if you want to work in this area, you just aren't going to have it unless you want a REALLY long commute.

Heading west on 610 towards Fauqier is still rural. The Hartwood area off 17 is rural.
Will both stay that way? Not with the way they hand out building permits in this area. Ugh. We've been here 8 years and traffic on 610 has increased tremendously in that time.

That would be great if they bring some restaurants and shopping here because I'm tired of spending hours to drive to Fburg or Woodbridge for anything outside of Target and Giant

In your previous post you complained that they "hand out building permits", yet you want more restaurants and shopping.

As a recent resident of the area you complain about increased traffic. New residents add to traffic volume, right?

Where in Fairfax County does your mom work? Perhaps going west would be more suitable than going south.

Is your mom okay with moving 40 miles from her job? That will drastically impact her commute time.
