That's strange. I got the rapid test a week ago Saturday. They offered a rapid test and a slower (but cheaper) test. They also didn't ask for a reason for testing until they called with the results.

Technically it is Morocco immigration enforcing the entry requirements...obviously the airline is doing their part because they don't want to have to take you back. It also has to be a PCR test which is not the rapid one.

You can try a site like https://thecovidconsultants.com/#pcr

You can try urgent care (very long wait) and they might test you with confirmed travel plans. CVS all does testing, big crapshoot. Either way likely to cost you $200+

Ok, that is a bit of a unique situation. Air Maroc IS Morocco - it's owned by the gov't. So - the Moroccan policy (to have a valid test result) is a requirement before boarding. Interesting!

This is different from, say, the Dominican Republic where, until recently, if you landed without the paperwork you could go back home or take the test at the airport...and wait...no thanks. In that case - the airlines really had not stake in the outcome - you'll be paying to return one way or another. But the airlines were not generally related to the D.R.

I flew into the DR from Puerto Rico two weeks ago, and was not asked for test results. Although while leaving to go back to Puerto Rico, JetBlue did ask for negative test results which I showed them, but at that point they were over a week old. The airline asks that you have not tested positive in the last 14 days.

Looks like an international traveler's best friend. Very impressive.

A friend was advised of exposure and was facing missing an important private family while required to quarantine. He found a 24 hour lab in Warrenton. I want to say it cost ~ $250.

DR changed their policy back, about two weeks ago. You may have missed the window. A month ago, we postponed our
trip on the advice of friends on the island - they confirmed the requirements and the airport testing.

Crazy times!

Are you able to get the name of the lab in Warrenton?

In August my wife had her test done at Kaiser Permanente at 9:30 a.m. on a weekday and her results came back around 6:00 p.m. Someone else I know had it done around noon on a Saturday and had the results when he woke up Monday morning.
