What kind of park service job are you looking for. While the far flung parks mentioned by claremarie are a possibility, it is also interesting to note that there is a large amount of federal park land inside the District, which is under the jurisdiction of the National Park Service. This includes virtually all of the monuments, the National Mall, and of course, the more natural Rock Creek Park. In addition, the George Washington Parkway, the Baltimore Washington Parkway, and the C&O Canal Towpath are NPS.
Just look here for the variety of NPS properties in the DC area:
District of Columbia
Most of these are not "wildland" parks, but they are important parks nonetheless. If you want to work in this area, there may be jobs as a ranger, interpreter, etc. If you are more interested in the law enforcement side, the US Park Police are a well regarded group, which have jurisdiction in the NPS properties in the National Capital Region. Were I to consider law enforcement (which I did look at heavily prior to going to law school), the US Park Police would be high on my list.
