Kilroy's (Springfield/Ravensworth shopping center) offers a variety of dishes - from burgers to lobster.

San Vito's (Springfield/Kings Park Shopping Center) - Italian food.

Hunan restaurant (Kings Park Shopping Center) - Chinese. Be sure to check out their popular lunch specials.

Outback (Fairfax/Twinbrook Shopping Center). Angie's (already mentioned) is also at Twinbrook.

Bryon's Grill (Fairfax/University Mall) - nice buffet but also offers menu selections.

I like Silverado on Columbia Pike in Annandale.

It's part of the previously mentioned Mike's American, Artie's, etc group which IMO does a good job.

Great American Restaurants

I thought the Fair City Mall location closed when DSW went in, which is why they moved to the new location in Old Town Fairfax. Are they still in FCM, too?

(They have totally awesome vegetable calzones with broccoli and spinach for something like $6. It's unreal, and easily 2 meals.)

That place is really good. Luckily, it is still at Fair City Mall. I think they moved it down a little bit but it is still there.

Other good restaurants: Fantasy Garden (Jays West Springfield) and Ho's Dynasty (Burke Center Pkwy) - Chinese. I'm pretty sure both are owned by the same family.

Spartan's Family Restaurant (Intersection of Burke Rd and Burke Lake Rd) - good, affordable Greek/American. Aladdin's is also in this shopping center.

I must agree with others; always had great meals at Mike's American in Springfield, Swiss Bakery in Burke is the best I've had outside Switzerland, Glory Days is a good sports bar, best mexican I've had in entire area is Rio Grande with a new location in Woodbridge, Jaleo for tapas (closest is Crystal City), Lido's for pizza, and if you don't mind traveling and exploring, I've been going to the Pines of Rome in Bethesda for good, plain Italian for the last (gulp) thirty years. It's always good, and their pizza is to die for, as is their veal parmigiana. It's not fancy, just good. Also love China Garden in Bethesda and Mediterrean Bakery in Alexandria. Old Town Alexandria has a wealth of good restaurants, like Restaurant Eve, O'Connells and La Bergerie. Get an issue of Washingtonian (their reviews are pretty good), and a copy of Friday's Washington Post Going Out Guide, and explore. Alot of places here that are good to eat look like dumps outside (especially the smaller places), but don't judge a book by its cover. Also, if you like Indian, try Bombay Curry Company in the Del Ray section of Alexandria. Absolutely delicious. Welcome and enjoy.

Second on Bombay Curry Company and all of the GAR restaurants. The Springfield/Burke/Woodbridge area isn't packed with great locally-based choices, but there are gems to be found.

Tonys New York Pizza best Pizza in NOVA hands down nothing comes close several locations in NoVa. Delias an is Italian Greek restaurant in Springfield it's a good mom and Pop place. El Charros in Woodbridge is good for Tex-mex. Fosters is the best Burger place beats 5 Guys by a mile. Texas Roadhouse for moderately priced steaks, P.F. Changs for Chines food. Try the Mount Vernon Inn its right in Mount Vernon, its quaint, lots of ambiance and the food is terrific really surprised me, service was so,so.
