Default Old Town Alexandria, more for the 30-40s people?

I'm looking for a nice and relaxing pub in this area, past the college party days, but not to the point where it's people talking about having kids and settling down.
Is there anything like this, or any hang out spots (or non-pub) in O'l Town Alexandria?

thanks.

You're basically describing Old Town to a T. You might especially like Rock It Grill and Murphy's. East of Washington Street might start to trend away from the crowd you appear to be seeking but overall Old Town is a place for socially active 30-50somethings.

Southside 815 and Chadwicks are two more that might fit the bill. At the north end of town, I like Rustico, although the crowd may skew a little younger than what you're looking for.
