I have been waiting for Terrence Malick's film "The Tree of Life" for months now (I'm a huge Malick fan and he only made 5 movies in 40 years).

I know that it won the Palme d'Or at Cannes (amidst jeers and cheers) and that it opened in LA, NYC and DC (somewhere in MD I think actually) this past weekend. Does anyone know when it's coming to NoVA?

I don't watch films at theaters anymore. But this will the first and only one I would see at a theater in, oh, I don't know, ten years I guess.

Here's the release schedule. Looks like the first NoVA date is 6/17 at Shirlington, with wider distribution on 7/8.

It's already playing in Bethesda, with twelve showings scheduled for today: Landmark - Washington D.C.

No need to wait another two weeks. If you're coming from Loudoun, Bethesda's no worse a drive than Shirlington.
